Airport Procedures

Check-in procedures and baggage check-in procedures vary depending on the airport from which you depart.

• The boarding procedures must be completed at least one hour before departure.
• Please note that you cannot board the flight if you have not completed all the procedures, including baggage check-in, by the designated time.
• AirJapan does not provide a through-check-in service (a service whereby passengers check in for all the segments from the point of departure to the destination) with other airlines.

• Check-in is automatically performed no later than 4 hours before departure time. After check-in is completed, the Boarding Pass is sent to the e-mail address that was registered at the time of booking.
• If you have not received a Boarding Pass Sending Notification or Check-in Notification, please go to the check-in counter at the airport.
• If you do not reserve a seat in advance, one will be assigned to you automatically upon auto check-in.

• You can use an auto check-in kiosk at the airport from 4 hours before departure time. Please complete the check-in procedures at least 1 hour before departure time.

• For seating requests, please use the paid advance assigned seating service. You cannot request a seat change at the auto check-in kiosk. 

  
  

• Passengers can check in at the airport counter starting 3 hours before departure time. Please complete the check-in procedures at least 1 hour before departure time.

• A fee is required for baggage check-in(*). Please make a purchase on the AirJapan website at least 5 hours before departure time. If you pay the baggage check-in fee at the airport counter, a handling fee will be charged.
• AirJapan does not provide a through-baggage service (a service whereby a passenger’s checked baggage is carried all the way through from the point of departure to the destination) with other airlines. If you have a connecting flight, you must collect your checked baggage after entering immigration and then check it in with the connecting airline.

• You can use the self-baggage drop from 4 hours＜3 and a half hours for NQ121＞ before departure time. You need your boarding pass and passport to use the self-baggage drop.

• Please go to the airport counter to check baggage that is subject to the excess baggage charge or large baggage, such as sporting equipment.

• You can check large baggage, such as sporting equipment and baggage that is subject to the excess baggage charge from 3 hours before departure time.
• If you want to check in a stroller or wheelchair, please go to the airport counter.

Please go to the security checkpoint early because it is expected to be busy.

 You need your boarding pass and passport at immigration.

Please be sure to go to the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure time. You may not board the fight if you do not come at least 30 minutes before departure time.
