Size and rules regarding baggage that can be carried on board the flight

*One person may have up to two pieces of carry-on baggage, including personal belongings.

*Maximum weight of total carry-on baggage is 7 kg per person

*Size: The total of three sides (length, width, height) must be under 115 cm and the sides must measure under 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm."

  • If any of the size, number of pieces, or weight of the baggage exceeds the limit, you will be required to pay the baggage fee, and the baggage will be checked in. 
  • Please note that because of the limited storage space on board the flight, baggage that is within the size limit may not fit into the storage space and will need to be checked in and transported in the cargo compartment. 
  • Because of the strengthening of aviation security checks and to ensure flight safety, we ask for your cooperation in minimizing your carry-on baggage as much as possible. 

     If you do not consent to this, you may not be permitted to board the aircraft. 


Taking liquids on board the flight

Liquids stored in containers may be brought on board the flight under the following conditions.

Size of container: a capacity of 100 ml (g) or less per container
Specifications of bags containing liquids: clear airtight plastic bag with a volume of 1 L or less measuring up to 20 cm high x 20 cm wide.
Limit on number of bags: only one bag per person 

Dangerous goods and some items that can only be brought on board in limited amounts

The following items are prohibited from being brought on board or can only be brought on board in limited amounts. Please be sure to check. 

  • Lighters/matches 
    • One item per person may be brought on board. (Limited to lighters/matches carried on the passenger’s person and used for the purpose of smoking.) 
    • Turbo lighters and other types of lighter that emit storm blue flames and oil tank style lighters (that do not contain absorbents) cannot be checked in or carried on board the flight. 
    • Oil and gas refill containers cannot be checked in or brought on board the flight. 
  • Electronic cigarettes/cigarettes 
    • May be brought on board the flight. (Limited to items for personal use. May not be checked in as check-in baggage.) 
    • For flights arriving at Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) Airport, Singapore (Changi) Airport smoking devices, such as electronic cigarettes and smokeless cigarettes, cannot be checked in or carried on board the flight. 
    • With smoking devices that do not use flames, there is also a danger that the device will disturb other passengers, and so the use of such devices (including charging) is not permitted on board. 
  • Mobile batteries (e.g., for charging smartphones and drones) 
    • Devices with a watt-hour rating of 100 Wh or less can be brought on board the flight. (Cannot be checked in as check-in baggage.) 
    • Up to two devices with a watt-hour rating of between 100 and 160 Wh can be brought on board the flight. (Cannot be checked in as check-in baggage.) 
  • Batteries for electric wheelchairs
  • Fireworks/firecrackers 
    • Items that cannot be checked in or brought on board the flight as carry-on baggage. 
  • Blades (knives, scissors, cutters), sharp objects (ice picks, screwdrivers), blunt instruments (bats)/tools 
    • These items cannot be brought on board the flight. 

There are also some items that can only be brought on board under limited conditions.

Handling of medicines, baby formula/baby food, special foods for restricted diets

Amounts of medicines, baby formula/baby food, or special foods for a restricted diet that are needed during the flight may be brought on board the flight without being in a transparent  plastic bag.
However, baby formula/baby food may only be brought on board if the passenger is flying with an infant.
In addition, when bringing prescription medicine on board, you may be required to present a doctor’s medical certificate showing the name of your illness or a copy of your prescription. 

Living things/animals (pets)

Animals cannot be checked in as check-in baggage nor can they accompany their owners onto the flight.
However, service dogs for persons with physical disabilities (seeing-eye dogs, hearing dogs, service dogs) may accompany their owners onto the flight.
