Request Regarding the Use of Power Banks

(Applicable to flights boarding on/after July 8, 2025)

In response to a request from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau  (JCAB)  of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we have strengthened our safety measures to prevent incidents of smoke or fire involving power banks on board aircraft. To ensure a safe and comfortable flight for all passengers, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following:

1.Please do not store power banks in the overhead compartments.

Always keep your power bank with you or in a location where it can be easily monitored, such as your seat pocket. This allows for prompt action in case of any malfunction.

2.When using a power bank to charge electronic devices on board the aircraft or when charging your power bank with the USB-port, please ensure that it remains in sight at all times.

If you notice any irregularities while using or charging your power bank, please inform the cabin crew immediately.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and pleasant environment on board the aircraft.
